World Autism Awareness Day 2nd april 2012

The UN has nominated April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day – a day for people across the globe to come together to raise awareness of autism and the effect it has on families.
We are going out today for a quick run to Winter Hill area ,
I am going to School tomorrow but will be talking about Autism in the class,

Just because I have autism doesn’t mean I cannot do things ! nearly 7 miles in wet windy conditions safely 

I have been to Holland, Belgium,  France, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Italy , Luxembourg and a few more places as well ,  I have lived in the Czech Republic in Prague,

Note From Dad : Jake playing with his new toys, This will be updated later ,Jake intends to celebrate with a run on Winter Hill ! though the weather is poor –  mist and rain due for most of the day Winter Hill.

Jake in the dark –

weather condition’s :  mist which turned to driving rain , very wet with very low visibility ,

6.9 miles to the field next to where we live,
323 metres gain
aver 3.6 miles

Jake had a full set of wet weather equipment on in the end  , Jake changed his equipment as the conditions changed , this is a tough route in what were far from ideal conditions , a lot of care is taken to keep jake safe,  No jake did not get the hi viz vest for his birthday!
